MISSIONS

At First Baptist Church of Clinton, we believe that as followers of Christ, we have been gifted by the Lord. As we realize what God has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ, we are called and compelled to use our gifts to serve others, share his message of grace and extend his love to all people.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are laypeople—Christian men and women—trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.

​Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life. Their commonality? A passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.  Click on these links for more information.

Family Promise helps local communities coordinate their compassion to address the root causes of family homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent. We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

    Our Children’s Leadership Team plans monthly events where our children have the opportunity to learn about serving others. They also plan outreach events that include our children and young families.

  • Contemporary or Sanctuary Choir / Clinton, SC

    Lead our worship service in music on Sunday mornings.

  • Carpenters for Christ / Clinton, SC
    We’ll partner with other local churches in renovation projects in our community.

    Habitat for Humanity / Clinton, SC
    Saturday morning home construction projects for a Habitat House in our local community.

  • Women’s Missionary Union / Clinton, SC
    Join a group of women specific to your stage of life and “share life” once a month. Come to together for snacks, fellowship, and mission projects. Visit the Welcome Center and let us help you find a group that fits you.

  • Snack Pack / Clinton, SC
    Join the team for weekly (during the school year) packing of food essentials for children in need on days when they’re not in school.

    BOGO—Buy One, Give One! Take advantage of BOGO at grocery stores. Bring food items and place in collection bins around our campus.
